Vladimir Putin congratulates Shavkat Mirziyoyev on May 9
Vladimir Putin sent congratulatory messages to the leaders and citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia and South Ossetia, as well as the people of Georgia and Ukraine, on the 74th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Kremlin reports.
In his congratulatory messages, the President of Russia emphasized that by marking Victory Day, people celebrate the unrivalled heroism of compatriots who defended the freedom of their homeland and saved the world from fascist aggression.
“We honor the heroes who courageously fought against the invaders on the battlefield and in their dedicated work behind the lines. It is our common duty to cherish the memory of their feats and countless sacrifices, and to care for our veterans,” Vladimir Putin said.
The President went on to convey words of sincere gratitude to all veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers, wishing them good health, peace and prosperity.
