Uzbekistan intends to buy two more Talgo 250 high-speed passenger trains
The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures for implementation of the project on the purchase of two Talgo 250 high-speed passenger electric trains, four economy-class cars” has been adopted.
As the State Customs Committee states, according to the resolution Nr.382 of May 7, 2019, total cost of the project is €72.93 million.
On implementation of the project, the contribution of the Republic of Uzbekistan is equivalent to €14.37 million in the form of tax and customs benefits.
In September last year, it was reported that Uzbekistan was negotiating with South Korean Hyundai and Spanish Talgo to purchase high-speed trains.
