Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives heads of CIS Interior Ministries
On May 31, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received heads of the CIS Interior Ministries who are on a visit in Tashkent, the presidential press service reports.
During the meeting, prospects for expanding cooperation between the internal affairs bodies of the CIS states, including the organization of effective interdepartmental cooperation, holding joint events, and implementing programs in the field of professional training, were reviewed.

An exchange of views also took place on topical issues of regional security, including the peaceful settlement of the situation in Afghanistan and the strengthening of partnership in the fight against transnational crime.
Effectiveness of reforms in our country in the law enforcement system, aimed at creating an active scheme of early warning and crime prevention, were highly assessed.

The readiness of the law enforcement structures of the Commonwealth countries to further develop active cooperation with a view to providing mutual support and joining efforts in countering common challenges and threats was particularly emphasized.
In conclusion, the head of our state wished success to the next meeting of the CIS Council of Interior Ministers.
