Shavkat Mirziyoyev discusses strengthening co-op ties with President of Bangladesh in Dushanbe
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid on June 15 in the residence assigned to him in Dushanbe, the presidential press service reported.
During the meeting, prospects for expanding the scope of bilateral relations, as well as cooperation within international and regional organizations were considered.
Particular attention was paid to the promotion of joint projects in the field of trade, investment, agriculture and tourism.
The parties reached an agreement on intensifying contacts and holding joint events at the intergovernmental and interdepartmental levels.

The President of Bangladesh, Abdul Hamid, expressed sincere appreciation for arranging his trip to Uzbekistan after the CICA Summit in Dushanbe. He is scheduled to visit cultural and historical centers of our country.
It should be noted that Shavkat Mirziyoyev, taking part in the Bishkek Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, arrived in Dushanbe on June 14 to attend the fifth CICA summit.
The Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia is an international forum aimed at strengthening cooperation, ensuring peace, security and stability in the continent.
