Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan consider additional tax benefits to increase railway traffic
Chairman of the board of JSC Uzbekistan Railways Kh. Khasilov met with the Chairman of the board of JSC National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy S. Minbayev. The parties discussed the further development of bilateral cooperation in general, and also considered issues regarding freight and passenger traffic.
Currently, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have established reliable and mutually beneficial cooperation not only in the socio-economic direction, but also in development of the transport system. In addition, most of the freight by rail from Uzbekistan to the world market is delivered through the territory of Kazakhstan. Taking into account these facts, the two states are constantly improving their work in the direction of ensuring traffic safety on the railway, increasing passenger traffic and cargo traffic.
At the meeting, views on these issues were exchanged. In particular, the sides talked about increasing the volume of freight and passenger traffic on the railway communications of the two countries, creating additional benefits for the transport of transit cargo.
During the talks, topical issues, implementation of which plays an important role in the development of bilateral relations, were comprehensively analyzed and important tasks were identified.
