Bakhodir Sidikov: Over the past two years, Uzbekneftegaz suffered 7-8 trillion soum losses
In 2018, the losses of Uzbekneftegaz reached 8 trillion soums, the company head Bahodir Sidikov said.
“The company suffered financial losses in 2017 and 2018. It is about 7-8 trillion soums. If we had not taken any measures this year, the company’s losses would have exceeded 8 trillion soums,” Sidikov told reporters.
According to him, the company has to repay the loan of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan in the amount of almost $2 billion.
“The President of Uzbekistan noted that we must effectively use internal resources. To solve the current problems, we have asked the government to assist in reducing interest on loans. We hope for the state support,” he added.
