Recently, information appeared on social networks that, head of the Kasbi district police department of the Kashkadarya region Chori Kucharov organized a seminar during which he held more than ten local farmers and irrigators in the stuffy bus for two hours.
As Kun.uz was informed by the head of the “Novot Niyoz” farm Akram Novotov, he was also invited to the seminar, but as he was not feeling well Novotov asked his assistant to attend the meeting.
“On July 14, I was informed that the head of the district police department Chori Kucharov would hold a seminar. At that time I was feeling bad. Despite this, I was engaged in my work, and I asked Farrukh Dustmuradov to attend the event. But the head policeman said that I myself should come to the meeting. He noted that if I was sick, they would bring me in an ambulance. Honestly, I was physically not able to go to the seminar. Especially, as it was 50 °C outside,” the farmer said.
Farmer’s assistant Farrukh Dustmuradov said that the head policeman ordered him to bring the farmer himself.
He also said that on that day, a special vehicle for transporting prisoners was parked on the field.
Reportedly, on July 14, 58 farmers were invited to the seminar. 11 of them were taken by bus to the district police department.
Akram Novotov, referring to his nephew, said that the district police officers had handcuffed some of the farmers.
Head of the farm “Jurayev Elyor” was also one of those who did not attend the seminar and asked his mechanic Elboy Jurayev to take part in it.
“When I came to the event, there were about 30 police officers standing there. We were placed in three rows. 13 farmers who irrigated the field twice were handcuffed. Later on, two more were added. Then we were taken to the district police department. They took our fingerprints. Why did they do it?” Elboy Jurayev said.
On July 16, Akram Novotov did not take part in the second seminar. After that, he was visited by 10 police officers.
