Shavkat Mirziyoyev invites Aleksandr Lukashenko to visit Uzbekistan
Today, a telephone conversation took place between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed sincere gratitude to Aleksandr Lukashenko for the warm and cordial welcome rendered during the successful completion of his first official visit to the Republic of Belarus.
The leaders of the two countries noted with deep satisfaction that the Uzbek-Belarusian summit brought bilateral multifaceted relations to a qualitatively new level, filling them with concrete practical content.
In particular, the fruitful results of the joint Forum of Regions and the National Industrial Exhibition of Uzbekistan in Minsk were highly appreciated. As a result of the forum, export-import contracts and agreements on cooperation of leading enterprises worth about $300 million were concluded.
The heads of state emphasized the importance of continuing an active partnership in the fields of science, education, culture and art.
It was noted that the Uzbekistan Culture Days organized within the framework of the visit and the opening of a bust to the great Uzbek poet and thinker Alisher Navoi in the Belarusian capital helped to strengthen friendship relations and deepen mutual understanding between our peoples.
During the telephone conversation, priority measures aimed at the practical implementation of the agreements and adopted documents on the basis of the roadmap were discussed.
Particular attention was paid to enhancing cooperation in trade, economic, investment and innovation fields.
At the end of the conversation, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev invited President Aleksandr Lukashenko to pay an official visit to our country at a convenient time for him.
The heads of state reaffirmed their commitment to further developing full-scale cooperation and strengthening friendship relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus.
