The Interior Ministry of Uzbekistan has denied rumors on the use of torture in the Jasliq prison.
“Torture is not used and has not been applied on the territory of Jasliq,” Deputy Interior Minister Bakhrombek Adilov said today at a press conference.
It should be recalled that recently Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution on liquidation of the Jasliq prison.
According to the decree, the buildings, structures and property of the specialized colony are transferred to remand prison No.2 of the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
