Moon Jae-in thanks the people of Uzbekistan, invites Mirziyoyev to Korea

In Seoul, a meeting of the parliamentary delegation led by the Chairperson of the Senate of Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva and the President of South Korea Moon Jae-in took place.

Moon Jae-in noted with satisfaction that relations between the two countries are actively developing in all directions. Close and trusting contacts between the heads of state led to the transition of Uzbek-Korean relations to the level of a special strategic partnership, the Senate press service said.

During the meeting, Moon Jae-in, emphasizing the successful implementation of the agreements reached during the visit, noted his readiness to “personally resolve all emerging issues”. 

Stating that representatives of various nations and nationalities live in peace and harmony in Uzbekistan, the Korean leader once again expressed gratitude to the people of Uzbekistan for their warm attitude towards the representatives of the Korean diaspora, who are treated as relatives in Uzbekistan.

At the end of the meeting, Moon Jae-in conveyed deep respect and greetings to the President of Uzbekistan and expressed hope for further strengthening of personal contacts, and also invited Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit the Republic of Korea, which will undoubtedly give impetus to deepening bilateral cooperation.
