Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives US Under Secretary of State David Hale

Today, August 22, Shavkat Mirziyoyev received US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale, the presidential press service reports.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on peaceful settlement of disputes in Afghanistan and active involvement of this country in regional processes. Topical issues of bilateral relations and the international agenda were also considered.

Intensification of contacts and promotion of joint projects in trade, economic, investment, innovation, educational, cultural and humanitarian fields with participation of leading American companies, banks and organizations was noted with satisfaction.

In addition, special attention was paid to supporting business initiatives following the results of the first certified US economic mission to Uzbekistan in June this year.

Following the meeting, Under Secretary of State David Hale reaffirmed the United States commitment to further developing the strategic partnership and comprehensive cooperation with Uzbekistan.
