Japanese parliamentary deputies visit Uzbekistan
On September 4, 2019, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dilshod Akhatov met with deputies of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament Fumiaki Kobayashi, Yasutaka Nakasone, Taro Honda and researchers at the Institute for Democratic Policy of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan.
During the meeting, various aspects of bilateral relations were examined, including in the context of preparations for upcoming events at the highest level.
The parties noted the important role of close inter-parliamentary ties in expanding the multifaceted Uzbek-Japanese dialogue, the implementation of joint projects and programs in various fields.
Within the framework of their stay in Uzbekistan, the delegation of Japan will hold negotiations in the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis and Cabinet of Ministers, visit the Navoi TPP and JSC Navoiyazot and familiarize with the historical-cultural heritage of Uzbek people in Samarkand.
