Reconstruction works kick off at Samarkand international airport

On September 6, reconstruction of the runway and aircraft parking at the Samarkand International Airport has begun, the press service of the Committee for Roads under the Transport Ministry reports.

Reconstruction works are being carried out by the enterprises of the Committee. As noted, more than 150 units of vehicles and equipment are involved in the process.

It should be recalled that the President of Uzbekistan, during his visit to Samarkand on July 26, got acquainted with the project of reconstruction of this air harbor. The head of state gave instructions on the construction of another terminal, reconstruction of the runway and expansion of aircraft parking.
