Cabinet of Ministers: Foreign investors are allowed to buy up to 5% of shares at commercial banks

The resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On amendments and addenda to the Regulation on procedure for issuing permits in the sphere of banking activities” has been adopted.
In accordance with the document, Paragraph 25 of the Regulation on procedure for issuing permits in the sphere of banking activities has been amended.
Thus, according to the changes introduced, foreign investors are allowed to buy up to 5% of shares at commercial banks without approval from the Central Bank.
