Abdulaziz Kamilov meets UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan in New York

Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met in New York with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
According to the press service of the MFA, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for their further development. Issues on interaction within the UN, OIC and other structures were also considered.
As it was emphasized, the official visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the UAE in March of this year and negotiations with the country's leadership raised the development of bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.
The parties exchanged views on proposals for holding the next round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
The special role of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Investment and Financial Cooperation in organizing certain events, programs and projects was noted.
The sides confirmed their mutual interest in building up cooperation in political, trade, economic, investment, tourism, cultural, humanitarian and other fields.
Proposals regarding the timing and agenda of upcoming bilateral contacts at various levels were also discussed at the meeting.
