Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulates President of Cyprus on Independence Day

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has congratulated the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades on the national holiday – Independence Day, the presidential press service reports.

Cyprus became independent from the British on October 1, 1960 after Britain gave Cyprus full sovereignty.

Uzbekistan established diplomatic relations with Cyprus on May 30, 1997 by signing a joint protocol in Moscow.
