Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulates Emomali Rahmon

On October 5, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the presidential press service of Tajikistan reports.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated Tajik leader on his birthday and wished him good health, success in his work, and prosperity, peace and stability to the people of Tajikistan.

During the conversation, the two sides expressed mutual willingness to continue work on further development of the Tajik-Uzbek good-neighborliness and strategic partnership.

Emomali Rahmon was born on October 5, 1952. In 1992-1994 he served as the Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of Tajikistan, and since 1994 - President of the Republic of the country.
