Uzbekistan aims to get 10 of its universities included in the TOP-1000 leading higher education institutions of the world

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved the Concept for Development of the Higher Education System of Uzbekistan until 2030.

The document provides for the inclusion of at least 10 higher educational institutions of the republic in the list of TOP-1000 universities in the world.

The Concept envisages creation of technoparks, foresight centers, transfer technology centers, start-ups and accelerators at higher educational institutions through the wide attraction of foreign investment, expanding the scale of paid services and other off-budgetary funds, bringing them to the level of scientific-practical institutions for forecasting and researching social economic development of relevant industries, spheres and regions.
