Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán
On October 15, as part of his visit to Baku, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán, the presidential press service said.
The head of the Hungarian government sincerely congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on the joining of the country to the Turkic Council. The parties expressed confidence that the development of cooperation within the framework of this organization will serve to deepen the multifaceted partnership between the two states.
During the conversation, the prospects for cooperation in trade-economic, investment, financial and cultural-humanitarian spheres were examined.
The importance of regular meetings of the joint Intergovernmental Commission for promoting practical cooperation projects, primarily in agriculture, livestock, industry, pharmaceuticals, tourism and other areas, was emphasized.
Topical issues of the international agenda, including partnerships in the Uzbekistan-EU format, were also considered.
