Export of Kazakhstani rice to Uzbekistan increases 34 times
In January-August 2019, Kazakhstan exported 53,900 tons of rice, LS reports.
Revenue from the supply of these products amounted to $15.5 million. In real terms, supplies decreased by 5.1%, and in money terms – by 5%.
The largest amount of cereal was shipped to Uzbekistan, it was sold 22,900 tons (for $6.9 million). Compared with the same period in the eight months of 2018, supplies increased by 33.7 times.
Tajikistan purchased 17,800 tons of rice for $4.7 million, Russia – 7,700 tons for $1.8 million, Ukraine – 2,800 tons for $716.2 thousand, and Turkmenistan – 1,400 tons for $941.1 thousand.
In addition, 680 tons of rice for $163,400 was sent to Kyrgyzstan, 272 tons for $76,800 – to Afghanistan, 143.1 tons for $81,600 – to Mongolia, and 67 tons for $26,800 – to Azerbaijan.
