State Services Agency returns 34.5 billion soums to consumers that were erroneously withheld by SUE “Toshissikkuvvati”

In December 2018 and January 2019, due to expiration of the mandatory state verification of hot water meters, the SUE “Toshissikkuvvati” made settlements with consumers for hot water.

According to the press service of the State Services Agency (SSA), the aforementioned organization did not comply in a timely manner with the requirements stipulated by the “Rules for provision of heat supply services in apartment buildings”, approved by the relevant resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.

After that, the Tashkent city administration of SSA began to receive complaints from citizens. In this regard, the SSA administration took necessary operational measures. In the course of an audit, it was revealed that, 45.8 billion soums of more than 60,000 consumers were erroneously withheld by the SUE “Toshissikkuvvati”.

“Considering that settlements with consumers were made by violating the “Rules for provision of heat supply services in apartment buildings,” the Department of the State Services Agency proposed to recalculate the amount,” the Agency’s press service said.

As a result, in April 2019, 34.5 billion soums were recalculated in favor of almost 50,000 consumers.

“To exclude further disagreements, consumers, who received recalculations in April 2019, were notified by the district departments of “Heat sales” management about the recalculations and reconciliations of mutual settlements,” the Agency concluded.
