Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives delegation of Italy

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has received the delegation of Italy led by the Governor of the Lombardy region Attilio Fontana, the presidential press service reported.

The parties discussed the prospects for bilateral relations, including those pertinent to enhancing the practical cooperation with Lombardy, one of the leading industrial, intellectual and cultural centers in Italy and the European Union.

The significance of establishing intensive business contacts and exchanges, implementing joint programs and projects with Italian companies and organizations in the fields of trade, investment, industrial technology, agriculture, healthcare and tourism was noted.

Particular attention was paid to interaction with renowned universities of Lombardy in training highly qualified specialists, primarily in Engineering.
