Volume of construction work amounts to $5.9 billion in January-October 2019

The volume of construction work in January-October this year amounted to 56,292.4 billion soums. The growth rate compared to the corresponding period last year reached 118.9%.

According to the State Statistics Committee, the volume of construction work carried out by large construction organizations amounted to 13,238.2 billion soums. Compared to the same period last year, it increased by 6.2%, and their share in the total volume decreased by 2.7%.

“The volume of construction work performed by small enterprises and micro-firms has increased significantly compared to other organizations in the current period, it accounted for 55.2% of their total volume (4.5% more when compared with the corresponding period last year). Along with this, the volume of construction work they completed amounted to 129% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 31,099.7 billion soums,” the State Statistics Committee said.

At the same time, the share of construction work in the informal sector decreased by 1.9 percentage points, and it amounted to 21.3% (11,954.5 billion soums) compared with the same period last year, the growth rate reached 111%.

Construction work in the republic, carried out by state organizations, amounted to 3,504.7 billion soums, the growth rate reached 152.9%. The volume of construction work carried out by non-governmental organizations amounted to 52 787.7 billion soums, the growth rate reached 117.2%, their share is 6.2% and 93.8%, respectively.
