Cotton cluster harvests account for more than 70% of the total yield - Uztuqimachiliksanoat

In 2019, cotton clusters collected more than 70% of the total cotton yield in Uzbekistan, the “Uztuqimachiliksanoat” Association said.
“In 2019, 75 cotton clusters were created in 118 districts of the country. 2 million tons, or more than 70% of the total cotton yield, were harvested from 701,000 hectares,” the organization noted.
Over the past two years, the volume of land allotted to cotton-growing textile clusters amounted to 68% of the agricultural land.
According to the Association, today the country has processing capacity of at least 80% of cotton.
