Russia begins supplying Mi-35M helicopters to Uzbekistan
Russia has begun supplying the Defense Ministry of Uzbekistan with Mi-35M transport-combat helicopters, RIA Novosti writes.
It was previously reported that Russia will supply 12 Mi-35M transport-combat helicopters to Uzbekistan within two years. The supply of the first four combat air carriers was planned for the fourth quarter of 2019.
According to the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, the supply of a batch of Mi-35M helicopters is being implemented as part of a state export loan issued in 2017 to the Government of Uzbekistan.
Mi-35M transport-combat helicopter is designed to destroy armored vehicles and fire support of ground forces units. It is equipped with modern high-precision weapons and is capable of performing combat missions around the clock in various weather conditions. One of the most important features of the Mi-35M is the ability to transport people and military equipment inside the cargo compartment.
