President Mirziyoyev attends the informal CIS Summit, holds talks with Vladimir Putin
On December 20, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the informal meeting of the CIS Heads of State in St. Petersburg, the presidential press service said.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was welcomed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
The heads of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation had a conversation, during which they discussed the prospects for bilateral relations and issues of regional cooperation, as well as international matters.
The leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan also attended the informal CIS Summit.
During the meeting, current issues of multilateral cooperation, including priority areas of Uzbekistan's chairmanship in the organization in 2020 were considered.
Following the event, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Saint Petersburg has ended. The head of the state has departed for Tashkent.
