BCE included in the list of state agencies dealing with operational-search activities in Uzbekistan

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the Law “On amendments and addenda to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the improvement of the activities of some government bodies”.

The law was adopted by the Legislative Chamber on December 9, 2019 and was approved by the Senate on December 14, 2019.

The first part of Article 10 of the Law “On operational-search activity”, signed on December 25, 2012, has been supplemented with a new paragraph of the following content:

“Military Intelligence of the Defense Ministry of Uzbekistan”;

Now, the fifth, sixth and seventh paragraphs are considered as the sixth, seventh and eighth paragraphs, respectively.

The implementation of operational-search activities by other state bodies (not included in the list of responsible organizations for this), as well as legal entities and individuals in Uzbekistan is prohibited.
