President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s next visit to Russia may take place in early February

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s next visit to Russia may take place on February 5, 2020, RIA Novosti reports citing the First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Ilhom Nematov as saying.

“The visit is expected to take place on February 5. It is being considered now. Both the Uzbek side and the Russian side are preparing for the event,” Nematov told RIA Novosti.

The Deputy Foreign Minister noted that the President of Uzbekistan “attaches great importance to the comprehensive development and strengthening of relations between Uzbekistan and Russia.”
