Uzbekistan may purchase Russian remote sensing satellite ground station
Authorities of Uzbekistan are reviewing the proposal by Glavkosmos to supply a remote sensing satellite earth station, Vladimir Tyurdenev, Ambassador of Russia to Uzbekistan, said.
According to Tyurdenev, contacts are ongoing in the field of joint space research. The text of the intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of research and use of outer space for peaceful purposes has been reconciled.
“Work is underway to register the Suffa International Radio Astronomy Observatory. At present, the intra-state procedures for the approval of statutory documents have been completed,” the Ambassador stated.
