Administrative penalty of detention, imposed on blogger Otabek Nuritdinov, remains unchanged

On January 4, 2019, at the open court session of the Andijan regional administrative court, the cassation appeal, filed by citizen Abdufatto Nuritdinov (blogger Otabek Nuritdinov) against the Andijan regional administrative court’s decision of December 30, 2019, was considered.

It should be recalled that on December 30, 2019, the Andijan regional administrative court found citizen Abdufatto Nuritdinov guilty of violating Articles 40, 41 and 183 of the Administrative Responsibility Code (ARC) and sentenced him to a 15-day imprisonment in accordance with Article 34 of the ARC. 

At the trial, victims and witnesses were questioned in the presence of A. Nuritdinov. The offender’s testimonies and his attorney’s defensive speeches were listened.

This administrative case was chaired by the judge of Andijan regional administrative court D. Khalilov.

According to Aziz Obidov, the head of the Supreme Court’s press service, the court conducted a comprehensive study of the case materials. It was reported that Nuritdinov’s cassation appeal was dismissed and the decision of Andijan regional administrative court of December 30, 2019 remained unchanged.

The presiding judge explained to Nuritdinov his right to appeal to the judicial board on administrative cases of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan, if he disagrees with the decision.
