Uzbekistan may introduce a 3-year moratorium on animal hunting
It is planned that a moratorium on issuing permits for hunting will be introduced.
The draft presidential resolution “On measures to further diversify the tourism services in the Republic of Uzbekistan” has been posted for public discussion.
The State Forestry Committee, together with the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection, the State Committee for Geology and Mineral Resources and the State Committee for Tourism Development, will draw up proposals to transform the Kyzylkum State Nature Reserve and the Gissar Mountain Sanctuary into national parks creating conditions for hunting tourism.
The proposal of the State Committee for Ecology and the Environmental Protection, the Ecological Party and the public to introduce a moratorium on issuing permits to hunt animals may be approved.
