Procedure for paying some customs duties changed

The fee for entry into the territory of Uzbekistan and transit through it of vehicles of foreign states, collected at border checkpoints, can be paid on the customs territory.

The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution “On introducing changes and additions to some government decisions in connection with improving the procedure for passing state control at checkpoints across the state border of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.

In accordance with the changes:

• from now on, customs fees for customs escort are allowed after the start of vehicle escort;
• the fee for entry into the territory of Uzbekistan and transit through it of vehicles of foreign states, collected at border checkpoints, can be paid on the customs territory.
