Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Novosibirsk Oblast of Russia amounts to almost $100 million
The governor of the Novosibirsk Oblast Andrei Travnikov held a working meeting with the khokim of the Surkhandarya region Tura Bobolov.
During the meeting, further cooperation between the region and the republic was discussed, nsk.dk.ru reports.
The cooperation agreement was concluded in October 2018. As Tura Bobolov noted, further implementation of the agreement on cooperation with the region in various fields, including agricultural production and industry, is very important.
According to the press service of the regional government, in 2019, the trade turnover of the Novosibirsk Oblast with the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to $88.9 million: export – $60.7 million, import – $28.2 million.
The region exports the following products to Uzbekistan: petroleum products, organic chemical compounds, plastics and articles thereof, wood and articles thereof, paper and cardboard, rolled ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals and articles thereof, tools, boiler equipment, engines and generators electrical and spare parts for them, optical tools and devices, pharmaceutical products, perfumes, products of the flour and cereal industry, confectionery products, food products, etc. It imports knitwear and clothing, carpets, textiles, cotton, chemical fiber, cotton, fruits, vegetables, nuts, spices and canned products.
