President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of Navruz holiday.
“Allow me, on behalf of the government and people of China, as well as on my own behalf, to sincerely congratulate you and the people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the Uzbek traditional holiday Navruz. In recent years, the Chinese-Uzbek relations of comprehensive strategic partnership have maintained a favorable development trend,” the PRC head wrote in his message.
According to him, the political trust between the countries is constantly strengthening, significant results have been achieved in the joint implementation of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative, and the parties are intensively and effectively cooperating in the international arena.
“All this opens up broad prospects for the further development of Chinese-Uzbek relations. In a joint fight against the coronavirus epidemic, China and Uzbekistan support each other and work closely, which fully demonstrates a high level of bilateral ties,” Xi Jinping emphasized.
“I am ready to maintain close contacts with you in the interests of the continuous advancement of our relations for the benefit of the two countries and peoples. I wish you good health and great success in state activities, and happiness and prosperity to the friendly people of Uzbekistan,” he concluded.
