Urbanization Agency being terminated 

The Agency was created by presidential decree in January 2019. Its tasks included long-term planning of the pace, stages and results of the industrialization policy, analysis of demographic trends in the city and rural areas.

It should be recalled that recently, during a meeting, Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced the reorganization of the Ministry of Economy and Industry as the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction.

The ministry will also include several institutions:

- The Agency for the Development of Small Business and Entrepreneurship is being reorganized as the Agency for the Development of Entrepreneurship with branches in all regions, cities and districts. 

- The Higher School of Business and Entrepreneurship is being created on the basis of the Republican Higher School of Business and Management named after Abu Rayhan Beruni under the National Agency for Project Management and the Republican Center for Entrepreneurship Education under the Chamber of Commerce.

- The structure of the Institute for Forecasting and Macroeconomic Research and the Center for the Study of Industrial Markets and Labor Efficiency in Production is being reorganized. State Unitary Enterprise “Editorial Board of the magazine “Iqtisodiyot: Tahlillar va prognozlar” under the Institute is being terminated, the institution itself will continue to issue the publication.
