The parties exchanged views on the current epidemiological situation in both countries and the Central Asian region in connection with the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
In order to combat the virus, as it was noted, it is necessary to develop coordinated measures, provide mutual assistance and continue close contacts between relevant medical and other services involved.
The sides emphasized the need to take leading steps to minimize the negative impact of the pandemic on the dynamics of bilateral relations and strategic partnership.
Trade-economic, investment, financial, transport and communication spheres, as well as ongoing projects within the framework of inter-regional exchanges, including between Tashkent and Dushanbe, were defined as priority areas of cooperation.
Mirziyoyev and Rahmon considered some relevant issues of regional cooperation and international agenda.
