Kazakhstan to open mosques, hotels and cafes next week after a two-month lockdown
Kazakhstan intends to open mosques, hotels and cafes next week, the Kazakh Government said on Wednesday.
It should be noted that all these places were closed for quarantine in mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic
The authorities said that from May 18, 2020, the followings will be allowed to operate:
- hotel complexes;
- catering facilities with a capacity of up to 30 seats;
- catering facilities that operate in the open air with summer zones, in accordance with sanitary requirements.
Also, objects of religious worship will resume operation starting from next week in compliance with sanitary standards, with no more than 30 percent of the total area filled.
Starting today, May 14, Kazakhstan has expanded the list of permitted domestic flights, and from June 1, it is planned to gradually resume domestic rail services.
