Uzbekistan extends lockdown measures until June 1
In accordance with the decision of the Special Republican Commission, lockdown measures in the country have been extended until June 1, 2020.
Previously, by the decision of the commission, quarantine was extended until May 10.
It should be reminded earlier on May 13, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed to resume domestic air and rail operations, complying with all sanitary and epidemiological requirements.
In particular, starting from May 18, flights from Tashkent to Nukus, Urgench and Termez will be resumed. Also, the movement of the high-speed train “Afrosiyob” to Samarkand, Navoi, Bukhara and Karshi and trains to the Fergana Valley will be allowed.
The Ministries of Transport, Internal Affairs and Health were instructed to submit relevant proposals to the Special Republican Commission.
