MFA calls on citizens not to contact intermediaries when entering Uzbekistan across the Kazakh border
Uzbekistan’s Consulate General in Kazakhstan asked the countrymen not to contact intermediaries when they return to their homeland across the Kazakh border.
In connection with the weakening of the quarantine regime in several regions of Kazakhstan, citizens arrive at the Jibek Joly – Gisht Kuprik checkpoint in order to enter Uzbekistan.
“The Consulate General again calls on citizens of Uzbekistan arriving at the Jibek Joly checkpoint not to contact various intermediaries offering services at the interstate border crossing for a fee,” the MFA message reads.
It is noted that due to the coordinated work of the border and sanitary-epidemiological services of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, compatriots are being transported to the country in compliance with quarantine measures.
At present, at the Jibek Joly – Gisht Kuprik checkpoint, there is an employee of the Consulate General and provides the necessary consular-legal and other assistance to citizens.
Citizens of Uzbekistan located in the territory of Almaty and Shymkent cities, East Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Kyzylorda and Turkestan regions, if necessary, can contact the Consulate General in Almaty at: + 7-727-299-20 -70, + 7-727-390-26-16.
