“The situation in Samarkand is deteriorating” – Turdimov addressed to residents of Samarkand
The regional khokim of Samarkand Erkinjon Turdimov addressed the population of the region and informed them about the spread of coronavirus. The khokim repeatedly mentioned during his address that the situation is getting worse.
“The situation is deteriorating. In one day, on July 10, 37 cases were detected in the region. 475 of the patients have recovered. 3 people are in critical condition and the condition of 18 is serious. 2,775 people are in quarantine,” Turdimov said.
The khokim stressed the seriousness of the situation in Samarkand and noted that 27 cases were detected in one day. He also said that 3 patients were identified in the Past Dargom district. Turdimov urged residents to take the situation seriously.
“I ask you to take seriously the quarantine measures announced across the country. Because the indicators are not going in the right direction. We are witnessing on social media that people are grossly violating quarantine rules by saying “it does not exist, this is invented”. I am not saying in vain that 3 citizens are in critical condition, 18 – serious. If we don’t take care of ourselves, death cases may increase. We must prevent this, protect our citizens. This is the main goal.
At the administrative level, all district khokims and officials provide financial assistance in the form of foodstuff to low-income families and people who have lost their jobs,” the region’s khokim said.
Turdimov asked citizens to seek medical help as soon as they feel the symptoms of the disease.
“Our citizens are being treated on their own after contracting the coronavirus, they are turning to medical facilities after pneumonia appears in them. If you have a fever, please contact a medical facility immediately. Medical staff, specialists will take the necessary measures.
“I will treat myself, this is a temporary thing, I will be fine if I take two pills” – stay away from such thoughts and contact a medical facility immediately. If we unite, we will defeat the coronavirus,” Erkinjon Turdimov concluded.
