Employees of sanitary-epidemiological wellbeing centers in Syrdarya not paid the promised additional payments of almost 750 million soums
In Syrdarya, employees of regional and district (city) sanitary-epidemiological wellbeing centers were not paid the promised additional payments of about 750 million soums. This was revealed during monitoring by the judiciary.
“According to the presidential decree PQ-4695 “On measures to further stimulate the staff of the sanitary-epidemiological service during the coronavirus pandemic” dated March 26, 2020, it was decided to increase the salaries of health workers of the Agency for Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance and its regional branches from 15% to 50% and from 40% to 75%, respectively, for health hazards and difficult working conditions, as well as to provide them with financial incentives by increasing the tariff coefficient for salary categories by 5%.
The Regulation, approved by the presidential decree PQ-3666, dated April 13, stipulates that the judiciary constantly monitors the implementation of principles.
To this end, in June this year, the implementation of the presidential decree PQ-4695, “On measures to further stimulate the sanitary and epidemiological service during the coronavirus pandemic” dated April 24, 2020, was monitored.
During the monitoring, it was found out that a total of 741,200,400 soums were not paid to employees of regional and district (city) sanitary-epidemiological wellbeing centers,” Kun.uz correspondent quotes Azizjon Mavlonov, head of the regional justice department, as saying.
It was noted that the heads of the regional, district (city) SEWC did not comply with the requirements of the presidential decree. As a result, employees of regional, district (city) sanitary-epidemiological wellbeing centers were not paid overtime payments. Consequently, the staff of the regional, district (city) sanitary-epidemiological wellbeing centers are protesting.
Azizjon Mavlonov said that the regional department of justice had submitted a proposal to the head of the regional SEWC to ensure the payment of bonuses to employees of regional, district (city) sanitary-epidemiological wellbeing centers.
As a result of the measures taken, 632 million 956 thousand 700 soums were paid to employees of regional, district and city sanitary-epidemiological wellbeing centers in accordance with the law. At present, measures are being taken to pay the remaining 108,243,700 soums in accordance with the legislation.
