“It is proposed to start the academic year in schools on September 14” – Sherzod Shermatov
Education in schools of Uzbekistan may begin on September 14, the Minister of Public Education Sherzod Shermatov said.
“It is proposed to start the academic year on September 14,” Shermatov wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to the minister, studies in places where coronavirus is not spread can begin in an experimental mode a week earlier.
In this case, the final decision at the beginning of the academic year will be made taking into account the results of the survey conducted among parents. In order to study the opinions of parents and organize the educational process on their basis, the Ministry of Public Education organized a questionnaire (https://t.me/uzedu/8481) in schools about the beginning of the new 2020/2021 academic year.
“Each parent must make an independent decision, based on their circumstances, whether to send their child to school in the traditional way or stay at home and receive an online education. In this regard, we ask you to take an active part in this process and express your opinion for making a final decision,” the ministry said.
