Around 44 percent of schools resumed the traditional form of education throughout Uzbekistan – MPE
The number of schools in the country, where traditional educational processes have started, has reached 4,379, the Ministry of Public Education reported.
As of September 21, a total of 4,379 (43.9%) schools across the country have started the traditional form of education. The epidemiological situation in these educational facilities is assessed as satisfactory.
According to the Ministry of Public Education, 2.1 million (34%) children study in these schools, of which 1.5 million (72%) are having lessons in the traditional form and the remaining 595,000 (28%) are studying online.
“For those who cannot attend schools due to the epidemiological situation at places, special TV lessons have been launched within the framework of the “Online School” project.
It should be recalled that decisions on the opening of schools in the traditional form are made individually for each school only with the consent of deputies of local councils in accordance with the conclusions of the healthcare system, considering the readiness of schools, sanitary and epidemiological situation in the region and school,” the ministerial statement reads.
MPE had previously announced that all schools were expected to open by October 1.
