Ministry of Public Education apologized for mistakes broadcast in online lessons
First Deputy Minister of Public Education Usman Sharifkhodjayev apologized for the mistakes made during one of the online lessons.
“As many people know, during one of the video lessons on the English language, the teacher made a mistake confusing the capital of the United States. Also, she mispronounced the capital of China. One can make excuses and say that more than 100 lessons are filmed a day (and this is 25-30 hours of airtime), a large number of teachers are involved in the filming process,” Sharifkhodjayev said. “But this cannot serve as an excuse for an obvious blunder on the air.”
The Deputy Minister apologized to all students, parents and other people for the case.
“From now onwards, we will do our best to prevent such mistakes from being repeated,” he stressed.
At the same time, the representative of the Ministry of Public Education asked not to affront the teachers involved in the “Online School” project, since all teachers “are forced to work on several fronts” – the teachers taking part in the filming, in parallel, conduct classes in a traditional format in their schools.
“Each of us has made mistakes, some – more, some – less. I hope this case will serve as a lesson for everyone and they will take their duties more professionally,” Sharifkhodjayev concluded.
