President expresses condolences on the passing of academician Jumanazar Bazarbayev
Jumanazar Bazarbayev, a major scientist of Karakalpakstan, philosopher and academician of the Academy of Sciences, died on September 25, 2020, at the age of 87.
On September 26, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Chairman of the Senate, Tanzila Narbayeva, the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber, Nurdinjon Ismoilov, the Prime Minister, Abdulla Aripov, and the President of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Bekhzod Yuldashev, extended their condolences.
Jumanazar Bazarbayev was born on November 13 1933 in the Muynak district of Karakalpakstan. In 1955, he graduated from the Karakalpak State Pedagogical Institute and began his work as a senior lecturer at the Institute. He then completed his postgraduate studies at the Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan). In 2000, he was elected a full member of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
His scientific research in philosophy, ethics and aesthetics, literature and pedagogy is widely used in the education of the younger generation. More than 500 scientific articles of the scientist, about 30 books and monographs devoted to theoretical and practical questions of philosophy, are well known to scientists and specialists of our country. The caring mentor had numerous students, under his supervision, dozens of them became candidates and doctors of sciences.
He was awarded the title of Honored Scientist of Uzbekistan and Karakalpakstan and the State Prize of Karakalpakstan named after Berdah.
In 1990-1995, Jumanazar Bazarbayev was a deputy of the Jokargy Kenes.
“The memory of the famous scientist, the caring mentor and a humble man Jumanazar Bazarbayev will always stay in our hearts,” the message reads.
