Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulates Emomali Rahmon on his victory presidential elections

According to the presidential press service, Mirziyoyev cordially congratulated Emomali Rahmon on his convincing victory in the presidential elections and wished every success in his activities for the benefit and wellbeing of the fraternal people of Tajikistan.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emomali Rahmon noted the importance of practical realization of the agreements reached, the implementation of decisions of the Intergovernmental Commission and the elaboration of a new agenda for upcoming high-level meetings.

The talk served also to exchange views on issues of regional interaction.

The sides welcomed the adoption of the Joint Statement by the Heads of State of Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan on the situation in the Kyrgyz Republic.

They underlined shared commitment to the development of long-term and full-scale cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
