Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives U.S. delegation

As the presidential press service informs, the sides discussed topical issues in Uzbek-American relations and considered regional matters. Particular attention was paid to countering global challenges and threats to security and stability.

The meeting served to exchange views on issues of support for the peace process in Afghanistan and practical assistance towards that country’s economic revitalization.

Issues of bilateral military and military-technical cooperation were also discussed.

General McKenzie sincerely thanked the President of Uzbekistan for organizing the meeting and stressed the U.S. commitment to the consolidation of strategic partnership and development of full-scale interaction between our two countries.
