Shavkat Mirziyoyev talks to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev over the phone
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
During the conversation, the heads of state discussed topical issues of the bilateral agenda and regional cooperation, the press service of the Uzbek leader said.
The importance of further promoting projects of economic cooperation in priority areas was noted.
Particular attention was paid to the continuation of active contacts at the regional level, expansion of cultural and humanitarian exchanges was stressed.
Mirziyoyev and Tokayev exchanged views on the current situation in the Central Asian region and considered deepening the dialogue within the framework of international and regional organizations, including the CIS and SCO.
The schedule of upcoming events at the highest level was also discussed.
