The Ministry of Finance has announced the largest contracts signed and executed through the public procurement portal during the January-October period this year.
“A direct contract has been signed with Uztemiryulqurilishmontaj for 200.5 billion soums for the construction of a special medical facility in the Zangiota district, Tashkent region. Also, the state unitary enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services signed a contract with the private enterprise “Elit Grand” for the repair and modernization of boilers in the Samarkand region from the state budget for 65.4 billion soums. In addition, UzAuto Motors has inked an agreement with GM Overseas Distribution for a total of $200 million for auto spare parts,” Sarvar Nazarov, Deputy Director of the Department under the Ministry of Finance, said.
For information, 46,575 transactions were signed this year through the public procurement portal for 735 billion 595 million soums.
At present, the draft law “On Public Procurement” in the new edition is being studied by deputies of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis.
It is noted that the project provides for the prevention of corruption risks in public procurement, in particular, the creation of an open, transparent and efficient system for the implementation of the programs.
