Today, December 1, Shavkat Mirziyoyev has had a telephone conversation with the First President of Kazakhstan, Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.
According to the presidential press service, at the beginning of the conversation, Mirziyoyev cordially congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev and the Kazakh people on the First President Day.
“The historical role of the Elbasy in the formation and dynamic development of modern Kazakhstan, increasing the country’s prestige in the international arena, as well as his great contribution to strengthening friendship and good-neighborliness in the Central Asian region were especially noted,” the statement reads.
The leaders highly appreciated the current level of Uzbek-Kazakh multifaceted relations based on the principles of strategic partnership, mutual trust and support.
During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda took place.
In addition, Shavkat Mirziyoyev talked to the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev over the phone.
The sides considered issues of strengthening the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership. Special attention was paid to promoting joint projects and programs of practical interaction, primarily in the trade-economic, investment and humanitarian spheres.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also deliberated on international affairs, including preparations for the upcoming Uzbekistan-chaired CIS summit due this month. Shared willingness was expressed for the continuation of close dialogue within the framework of the Commonwealth, as well as other regional and global institutions.
